While the primary CSD Chennai Military Canteen Depot is located in Chittilapakkam, Chennai, the sole AFD items purchasing office now resides at the STN HQ in St George Fort, Chennai. This relocation aims to enhance convenience for individuals interested in acquiring vehicles, consumables, or other items, eliminating the necessity to journey to the Chitlapakkam Depot in Chromepet, Chennai. CSD Canteen Operating Hours: The CSD Chennai Depot adheres to specific timings during the week to efficiently serve its patrons. However, Wednesdays are designated for closure to facilitate crucial maintenance and upkeep tasks. Avadi CSD URC Canteen Weekly Closure Schedule 2024
In response to the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, the Avadi CSD URC Canteen in Avadi has devised a structured timetable for its operations. On weekdays, the canteen will be operational during the morning session from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and later in the evening from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM. However, on Sundays, it will solely function in the morning, serving customers from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The canteen will observe Wednesdays as its weekly day off as part of its regular routine.
Moreover, there are specific guidelines in place regarding purchases at the Avadi CSD URC Canteen. To ensure a controlled and safe environment for all visitors, the canteen has set limits on the number of customers permitted in each section. The main dining area can host up to ten customers, while the officers’ counter is limited to seven customers at a time.
Similarly, the suitcase counter can accommodate three customers, and the branch canteen has a capacity for five customers simultaneously. Notably, pensioners are only allowed access during the Monday and Tuesday morning sessions. For the convenience of its clientele, the CSD Unit Run Canteen (URC) at HVF Avadi maintains a consistent operational schedule during unrestricted hours.
