In the academic year 2018-2019, there were a total of 225,597 enrollments, which saw an increase to 276,792 in 2019-2020. This number further rose to 295,807 in 2020-2021 and climbed to 345,667 in 2021-2022. The most recent statistics for 2022-2023 indicate a total of 367,453 enrollments, showcasing a positive trend in enhancing educational access for children coming from marginalized communities.
Bihar RTE 25 Admission Reimbursement Status
Section 12(2) of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act delineates the procedure for compensating Private Unaided Schools for enrolling students under Section 12(1)(c). This compensation is calculated based on the per-child expenditure specified by the State or the actual tuition fees charged by the school, whichever amount is lower. The reimbursement assists in covering the costs associated with 25% admissions in private unaided schools as stipulated in Section 12(1)(c) of the RTE Act, and has been administered under Samagra Shiksha since the fiscal year 2014-15 (previously under SSA).
