HSRP Number Plate Odisha 2026: Vehicle manufacturers (OEMs) and their authorized dealers will be responsible for the exclusive installation of the High-Security Registration Plate (HSRP). Only the designated HSRP provider approved by the OEMs will provide the plates to their authorized dealers. The OEMs’ authorized dealers will manage the installation of HSRP on older vehicles. Vehicle owners are required to schedule the HSRP fitting and make payments through an online platform approved by the OEM to ensure transparency and prevent any excessive charges.
Through this portal, owners can select a dealer, location, and installation date that suits them best. Additionally, the authorized portal will keep owners informed about their order status through SMS notifications. To maintain transparency, OEMs or their dealers must clearly display the HSRP installation charges at their showrooms and on the designated portal.
Owners may also have the option of availing additional services for installing HSRP at a different location for an extra charge, with their consent. Upon affixing the HSRP, OEMs or their dealers must update the laser code in the VAHAN portal. Vehicles lacking a valid Registration Certificate, Fitness Certificate (for Transport Vehicles), or with outstanding tax dues will not be eligible for HSRP installation by OEMs or their authorized dealers. OEMs are required to make necessary adjustments to their portal in compliance with these guidelines.
